"What a pity it would be, if we were led by one man to utter destruction!   Are you afraid of this?   I am more afraid that the people have so much confidence in their leaders that they will not inquire for themselves of God whether they are led by him.   I am fearful they settle down in a state of blind self-security, trusting their eternal destiny in the hands of their leaders with a reckless confidence that in itself would thwart the purposes of God in their salvation..."

___________ Brigham Young   (JD 9:150)  Brigham Young was one of the early leaders of the Mormon Church.

.

.

___________ Christian Bible - - Mark 9:42

.

.

.

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets,   [and in churches, in TV studios, in front of women's health care clinics, and in other public places]  that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.   But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

___________ Christian Bible - - Matthew 6:5-6

.

.

.

How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs [are] like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman.

Thy yoni [is like] a round goblet, [which] wanteth not liquor: thy belly [is like] an heap of wheat set about with  lilies.

Thy two breasts [are] like two young roes [that are] twins.

Thy neck [is] as a tower of ivory; thine eyes [like] the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bathrabbim: thy nose [is] as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.

Thine head upon thee [is] like Carmel, and the hair of thine head like purple; the king [is] held in the galleries.

How fair and how pleasant art thou, O love, for delights!

This thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters [of grapes].

I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also thy breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples;

___________  Christian Bible - - "The Song of Solomon"   aka - "Song of Songs" 7:1-8.   The editors have taken the liberty to use the word yoni where an ancient translator used the word navel.   One has to be extremely naive to think the original author was referring to his beloved’s navel and somehow just happened to completely forget her genitals.

physical mortality          physical mortality           ...

Sooner or later, you’ll come face to face with your own physical mortality.   And when that life-threatening challenge comes, you’ll be faced with a profound uncertainty that can be transcended only by the same leap of faith that every human being, sooner or later, has to take, regardless of his or her religious beliefs.

I’m about to introduce you to a path of Divine Truth, and, if you accept my offer, your years of walking on this path will help you when that ultimate challenge arrives.   On the day it does, you’ll look around you and realize that worldly goods provide little or no comfort.

You’ll look to those you love and realize that the only thing each of us has in this world is ourselves, our faith in whatever it is we call God, and each other.   You’ll turn to and, for a few moments, will hold those you love in your arms and then, in fear or in determination, you’ll step out and face your mortality in whatever form that challenge may come.   Knowing that you may or may not return from your challenge, the overwhelming question in your mind will be, ‘If I don’t return, then what’?
